The Private Indigo Immersion is a five-day, invitation-based indigo dyeing program designed for participants who already have prior experience with natural dyeing or tie-dye and wish to deepen their practice.
This program is not an introductory class. It is intended for those who are familiar with basic dyeing processes and are curious about working more closely with natural indigo vats, technique variations, timing, and material response over multiple sessions.
The program runs in a private, small-group format, with three participants per group. Participants are encouraged to form their own group with familiar partners, creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment.
Instruction is provided on-site by the instructor, allowing the practice to unfold within a setting chosen by the participants.
Total Duration: 5 sessions
Session Length: Approximately 2–3 hours per session
Group Size: 3 participants
Format: Private, by appointment only
Each session builds on the previous one, allowing time for reflection, adjustment, and deeper material understanding between meetings.
Working with natural indigo vats
Advanced tie-dye and resist techniques
Timing, oxidation, layering, and depth of color
Observation and response to material behavior
The emphasis is on process continuity rather than outcome, and repetition is treated as part of learning.
Schedule: To be arranged by the participants
Location: To be provided by the participants
Advance booking is required
All scheduling details are confirmed individually to accommodate the group’s availability.
This program is suitable for participants who:
Have completed a basic tie-dye or natural dyeing experience
